Anja Harteros has long been an audience and critics' favourite at the Bavarian State Opera, making her name with performances of Verdi, Wagner, and of course Richard Strauss.

François‐Xavier Roth conducts the German singer and the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra. They are joined by the conductor's father, organist Daniel Roth, the organiste titulaire of the famous St. Sulpice church in Paris, for Saint‐Saëns majestic "Organ" Symphony.
