Konec je pouze novým začátkem. Stejně jako u jiných skladatelů, například Brucknera s jeho Devátou symfonií nebo Schuberta s jeho Desátou symfonií, zůstala i Mahlerova Desátá symfonie po jeho náhlé smrti v roce 1911 nedokončená. Toto dramatické dílo odráží intenzivní boje, kterým Mahler čelil během svých posledních dnů, ale dochovalo se pouze jako sbírka náčrtů. Yoel Gamzou se odvážně ujal výzvy rekonstruovat toto nedokončené mistrovské dílo a následoval tak stopy renomovaných osobností, jako byli Deryck Cooke a Rudolf Barshai. V milánském auditoriu mu mistrovsky vdechl život.

| Orchestr: | Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
