Emmanuel Tjeknavorian vede diváky tanečním krokem na objevnou cestu některými z nejcennějších stránek věnovaných baletu. Činí tak tím, že poprvé přináší „svou“ interpretaci tohoto repertoáru na jeviště milánského auditoriu a představuje suitu, kterou sám vytvořil z baletu Gayane svého slavného krajana Arama Chačaturjana. Spolu s Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano vytváří hudební ředitel itinerář zaměřený na balet: vedle arménského skladatele najdeme Stravinského s Ptákem Ohnivákem, dokonalým vyjádřením jeho „ruské“ kompoziční fáze, a Manuela de Fallu s Třírohým kloboukem, oba balety napsané pro brilantního Diaghileva, deus ex machina Ballets Russes.

Orchestr: Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi

Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements.
