Kempten (Allgäu) je největší město v Allgäu, regionu na jihozápadě Bavorska v Německu.Oblast byla pravděpodobně původně osídlena Kelty, ale později ji převzali Římané, kteří město nazvali Cambodunum. Archeologové považují Kempten za jedno z nejstarších městských osídlení v Německu.
