Built in 1969 in Bauhaus style, Dresden's Kulturpalast (Palace of Culture) was created as a center for music and dance performances. Extensive renovations were begun in 2013 to improve the acoustics and infrastructure of the concert hall. The anxiously awaited re‐opening in 2017 will provide Dresden with a world‐class concert hall.
