Ponořte se do Verdiho mistrovského díla Rigoletto a obohaťte svůj pobyt v Benátkách o další nezapomenutelný zážitek. V působivé atmosféře Palazzo Barbarigo‐Minotto se za svitu svíček rozvine dramatická síla opery v podání skvělých pěvců a hudebníků. Opera je putovní představení a každé jednání se odehrává v jiném salonu jednoho z nejúchvatnějších benátských paláců. Zpěváci a instrumentalisté vystupují tak, že se společně s diváky pohybují po sálech Palazzo Barbarigo Minotto.
Palazzo Barbarigo‐Minotto byl postaven kolem 15. století jako šlechtický palác s výhledem na Velký kanál v Benátkách. Zdobí ho nádherná díla slavných umělců osmnáctého století, dokonale zachovaná díla Francesca Fontebassa, Giambattisty Tiepola, Girolama Mingozziho a štukatéra Tencally si mohou obdivovatelé a znalci prohlédnout dodnes. Původně dva samostatné paláce se dnes skládají ze tří reprezentačních sálů obrácených k Velkému kanálu a dalších tří s výhledem na Rio Zaguri. Součástí interiéru je kaple ze 17. století s podlahou z jilmového dřeva ve stylu Ludvíka XIV. s intarziemi z kořenů olivovníku. Dveře ve stejném stylu jsou obloženy ořechem a mají bronzové kliky ve tvaru vinných listů a podlahy v kajutách kombinují techniku teraca a vintířského pastelonu.
V této vznešené benátské budově se během roku konají vzrušující operní představení — například Verdiho "La Traviata" -, přičemž každá scéna se často odehrává v jiné kajutě.
Rigoletto je intenzivní drama vášně, zrady, synovské lásky a pomsty. Ústředním tématem této tragédie je kletba, která spustí nezadržitelný a tragický Rigolettův pád: "Celé téma je v té kletbě, která se stává i morální" (G. Verdi).
První dějství opery se odehrává v Tiepolově pokoji, kde nádherné kostýmy Anthonyho Knighta, inspirované styly 18. století, dokonale vystihují honosné barokní vybavení paláce.
Rigolettův příběh se rozvíjí v sálech paláce, kde světla svíček vytvářejí efekt podsvícení Caravaggiova obrazu a vyzdvihují dramatičnost opery.
Během přestávky představení a v obklopení kouzelné scenérie s výhledem na Canal Grande vám Musica a Palazzo nabízí sklenku Prosecca, nealkoholické nápoje a jemné likéry.

Sadly the description over‐promises and under‐delivers enormously. The description of the performance "set in one of the most fascinating Venetian palaces" allows one to think that the setting will be opulent, beautiful, palatial even; that could not be further from the truth! The "palace", if indeed that's what it is, is far from palatial. It's a run‐down house with little glamour or even comfort to offer the paying public. Instead, dressed befitting to the splendour one is expecting, one finds oneself in a cold, unwelcoming foyer, waiting in line for the doors to open (well, a cord to be unhooked by a shambolically dressed lad actually). When we reach the top of the stairs and into the main room of the house we are requested to take our seats in the room "down the end on the right" where we were met with about 70 wooden chairs to choose our seat from, as if in a school hall, in rows of 10 or less, a couple of small sofas, a piano and two chairs for the orchestra. Almost all of the audience sat down, looking around the room in bewilderment, each wondering if they'd been part of a live audience joke. To be honest, once we'd all realised that this was it, the shock turned to nervous laughter, hoping that the next couple to walk in dressed to the nines would also make the same contorted ignominious faces and quickly shuffling themselves along to an empty seat so as not to bring further attention to themselves. Come the performance, well, I can say that this was far from operatic. The cast and performance was nothing more than amateur dramatics; one of the characters even shouting rather than signing his lines. Upon the conclusion of the first act, and each thereafter, the audience is requested to move rooms too, which is somewhat bizarre, but hey, by that time nothing was going to surprise us. So, as you can probably determine, we'll not be rushing back any time soon. Save your money, dress up at home and watch The Snowman for the 27th time and marvel at the splendour of a teenage Aled Jones singing Walking in the Air; you'll be grateful you did, I promise ;-)

Ce sont des moments musicaux extraordinaires, d'une beauté et d'une présence hors norme, sans parler de la classe des chanteurs et musicien, et de la beauté du lieu.
