Collegium Vocale Gent
演出简介
The Collegium Vocale Gent performs works by Bach and Graupner at the Palais des Beaux‐Arts in Brussels.
It has been some seasons now since Philippe Herreweghe turned his back on Bach and set out to explore more modern horizons. Those new repertoires have fit him like a glove; to the great delight of lovers of the Baroque, however, he has not forgotten his first love. This evening's programme includes works by both the great master of the cantata and by Christoph Graupner. Renowned in his own day, Grauner's name is often mentioned in connection with his application for the post of Kantor in Leipzig, a post finally assumed by… Bach.
