Sergei Stadler joins the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra as violin soloist and conductor in a concert featuring Mozart, Schubert, and Strauss.

The violin virtuoso Sergey Stadler is hailed as a Russian Paganini. He is an old friend of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra and has given many memorable concerts together with the orchestra. Tonight, the violinist will double as a conductor, recalling the Classical period, when a soloist not only played but also conducted the orchestra. The concert will start with crystal‐clear and delicate compositions by Mozart and Schubert. An expressive and enchanting symphony by Strauss will follow. The composer considered this composition one of the best of his pieces and was immensely proud of it. It is an Alpine landscape painted by the sound of music. It is an inimitable musical voyage in the mountains, where the composer explored every path, the ravines and enchanted green forests of his childhood.
