Le Poème Harmonique celebrates the musical legacy of Lent, a religious festival that has inspired innumerable beautiful works through the ages by composers such as Charpentier and Delalande.

Lent no longer occupies the same place of importance in modern life as it did in earlier ages. French ensemble Le Poème Harmonique remind of us the great works inspired by the occasion with a programme featuring compositions by Charpentier (Meditations for Lent) and Delalande (Lessons of Darkness).
