Haydn, Mozart, Vanhal, Rossini: Budapest Festival Orchestra

演出简介

The Budapest Festival Orchestra performs together with Zsolt Fejérvári (double bass) and Andrea Bressan (bassoon), under the baton of Gábor Takács‐Nagy.

Between 1768 and 1772, the young Haydn composed a series of passionate symphonies of high pathos, which open this concert.

The concert continues with Mozart's German Dances, composed for the 1789 carnival season, and a double bass concert by Vanhal, Mozart’s Czech contemporary, who lived and worked in Vienna from 1780 until his death.

After these masterpieces, the Budapest Festival Orchestra performs Rossini's Bassoon Concerto and Mozart's Symphony No. 39.
