Schoenbrunn Castle, Vienna, Austria
The concerts of the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra take place in the Orangery Schoenbrunn, which was built in the years 1754 - 1755. Fascinated by its special architecture, the Habsburger emperor frequently organized festivities with a musical program.
During one of these occasions, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Sallierie conducted personally in the Orangerie Schönbrunn - a unique event in music history.
The building is the largest baroque Orangerie after Palace Versailles, and it is the only still functioning baroque Orangerie in Austria.
