Laurence Cummings leads some of the future luminaries of classical music in a performance of Handel’s spectacular oratorio, "Saul", at the Spitalfields Summer Festival.

The timeless story of Saul and his eventual successor David explores the political and personal relationship between two powerful men alongside a chorus which electrifyingly captures the spirit of a people in turmoil.

A non-stop demonstration of oratorical fireworks, this piece is considered among Handel’s finest.
