Two eminent members of the Dissonances ensemble and renowned pianist Claire Désert immerse us in the sound world of the two greatest French composers -- at once connected and fiercely individual -- of the twentieth century.

The relationship between Ravel and Debussy was very complex and sometimes tainted with rivalry; however, the two names are intimately tied to the spirit of early‐twentieth‐century French music and to one another. The chamber masterpieces on tonight's program include Ravel's posthumous tribute to the older of the two luminaries.
