Since 1986 the Kölner Philharmonie has been an integral part of EuropeŽs music scene. One reason for such prominence is thevariety of the concert programmes, which comprise the great works ofthe symphonic and chamber music repertoire, jazz sessions, folk and popevents, and the world and Cologne premières of lesser known, new andexotic works.

Another reason is the unique atmosphereprevailing in the exquisitely beautiful concert hall which has beendesigned in the style of an amphitheatre.

The Kölner Philharmonie is Situated right in the city centre ofKöln, a 5 minutes walk from CologneŽs main railway station. Youcan reach the Kölner Philharmonie easily using public transport.
