会場についての情報

Neither its name nor its appearance suggests that this church bears any relation to the Jewish culture that once flourished in the city. However, the space currently taken up by the Sant Jaume Church was, for many centuries, the old synagogue of Barcelona. The church is located on Calle Ferran, one of the busiest shopping and commercial streets in the city, next to other buildings, bars and restaurants. For this reason, it is easy to stop and visit its interior and pause to study the details of its facade. Calle Ferran is located in what is commonly referred to as the Minor Call, the area that came into being due to the expansion of the original Jewish Quarter. The two neighbourhoods are currently connected through the Volta del Remei and the Arco de Santa Eulalia, two small streets that still preserve some of the Hebrew engravings and the small nooks into which devout Jews wrote their prayers.
