Richard Goode’s playing is too fresh for him to be dubbed an ‘elder statesman’ – but there’s no denying that his years of engagement with the greatest music in the piano repertoire has given him profound insight into whatever he plays. This programme promises an evening of visionary music-making, as Goode journeys from Bach to the sublimest heights of the Romantic era.
