At the opening concert of the new season 2008/09, Ricardo Muti conducts the Viennese Philharmoniker (Wiener Philharmoniker) and presents compositions by Verdi and Rota. In the programme, the posaune player Ian Bousfield is the guest soloist at this concert and will perform music from the movie Il gattopardo (comp. by Nino Rota).
