Verdi´s Requiem in Madrid

About the Event

Orfeón Pamplonés and conductor Vladimir Jurowski join the London Philharmonic Orchestra for a special performance of Verdi’s unforgettable Requiem in the beautiful Auditorio Nacional in Madrid.

First performed in the San Marco church in Milan in 1874, Verdi’s Requiem for four soloists, double choir, and orchestra was composed in memory of the great Italian national poet Manzoni. It remains one of the most performed choral works in the European canon.
