Tiburtina: The Birth of Polyphony

About the Event

Join early‐music specialists Tiburtina for a journey back to the very earliest choral music.

Featuring works from the some of the very oldest musical texts, Tiburtina fill the church of St. Simon and St. Jude with polyphony from as far back as the 9th century.

The concert features works from:
Musica Enchiriadis (9th century)
Polyphony in Aquitaine
Codex Calixtinus (12th century)
Notre Dame School (12th‐13th century)
