Three Friends in London: Johann Christian Bach, Haydn, Mozart

Ensemble Philidor and Mira Glodenu will perform selected works by Haydn, Mozart, and Johann Christian Bach at Eglise des Billettes, in Paris.

At the end of the 18th century, London was the place to be in Europe. The British capital was the meeting point of Johann Christian Bach (Johann Sebastian's son), Mozart, and Haydn, who were bound by an enduring friendship. Performing duets, trios, quartets, and quintets — cherished chamber music forms of the three masters which clearly reveal their mutual influences — the Ensemble Philidor and Mira Glodeanu will revive this extraordinary musical time.
