The Abduction from the Seraglio: Paris Opera
About the Event
The Paris Opera presents stage director Zabou Breitman's new interpretation of Mozart's famed singspiel, The Abduction from the Seraglio (Die Entführung aus dem Serail).
The central virtues reflected in this Enlightenment era work — tolerance, fidelity, and the celebration of human goodness — reappeared and were further developed in Mozart's later operatic masterpieces, The Magic Flute and La Clemenza di Tito.
