Song Recital Measha Brueggergosman: Dresden Music Festival

About the Event

'A voice whose timbre – warm and dark in the lower ranges, lightening towards the top – sounds faintly like Jessye Norman' — thus wrote Die Welt about the young Canadian mezzo‐soprano Measha Brueggergosman, who is among the most sought‐after song and concert singers of her generation.

With her versatility and radiant personality, she has long surpassed the boundaries of the purely classical concert hall and has managed to engage the audiences of ARTE and MTV with her shows. In the intimate atmosphere of the Palais im Großen Garten, she will perform songs by Britten, Marx, Ravel, Turina and Wolf – but the centerpiece of the evening will be her rendition of Wagner’s famous and touching Wesendonck‐Lieder in their original piano version.
