Ronald Brautigam's recordings of the complete Beethoven concertos were widely praised, and he embarks on a concert series at the Concertgebouw.

Tonight, he's joined by the Hague Residentie Orchestra for Beethoven's 4th Concerto — perhaps the leanest, but not lacking in virtuosity.

Claus Peter Flor also conducts the orhcestra in Brahms' 1st Symphony.
