Philharmonia Orchestra: Turangalîla‐Symphonie

About the Event

The Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Esa‐Pekka Salonen will perform the Turangalîla‐Symphonie, central part of Messiaen's trilogy focusing on Tristan and Isolde. This large‐scale piece of orchestral music helped Messiaen to gain worldwide recognition and followed his fascination with Romantic Love and Death.
