Palace Tour, Dinner and Concert: Mozart in Schönbrunn

About the Event

Indulge in royal pleasures at the palace where Mozart began his musical career. Tour Vienna's sumptuous Schönbrunn Palace, eat a dinner based on recipes from Mozart's era, and then embark on a musical journey with the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra.

Mozart frequently returned to Schönbrunn Palace, where his career started. At the early age of six, he performed for Empress Maria Theresia in Schönbrunn.

Palace visit
Start your journey with a visit of the ceremonial rooms of world‐famous Schönbrunn Palace, the most popular sightseeing destination in Austria. Individual guests will receive an audio guide and may take the palace tour on any day during the palace's official opening hours.

Groups of 15 and up will enjoy an exclusive guided tour given by one of the palace's guides, after the palace has closed for the public and quieted down. Please send your request for a guided tour at least 5 workdays before the event date to info@classictic.com.

Dinner
The palace tour is followed by dinner at the restaurant in the palace area, featuring dishes typical of Mozart's time.

Concert
The Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra will interpret the most beautiful works created by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss. This captivating music is accompanied by masterful vocalists and ballet dancers.

Guests will be served an aperitif before the performance and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine during intermission, offered at the bar with a typical Austrian sweet. The welcome package includes an illustrated informative program booklet for the concert, and a 'Best of Mozart CD', performed by the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra. Reserved seats in the two front rows ensure a good view of the concert.

Concert hall
On selected days, concerts may take place in the Great Gallery or the White Gold Room located inside Schönbrunn Palace, at the Schönbrunn Palace Theater or in other concert halls in Vienna.

Program
- 3:30 p.m. at the latest: audio guide visit for individual guests*
- 5:30 p.m.: exclusive guided palace tour for groups
- 6:30 p.m.: dinner at a restaurant in the palace area
- 8:00 p.m.: admission into Schönbrunn Palace Orangery
- 8:30 p.m.: concert starts
- approx. 10:15 p.m.: concert ends

* Please note the opening hours at Schönbrunn Palace.

After the concert, taxis will be available right outside Schönbrunn Palace Orangery. The subway runs until midnight in five‐ to eight‐minute intervals.

Document pick‐up
Individual guests pick up their documents at the organizer's office located at the Orangery. The office is open daily from 9:00 a.m.

Groups will receive their documents right at the main entrance to the palace/ ticketing counter from one of the staff members before the start of the guided tour.

April to June and September to October: 8:30 a.m. — 5:30 p.m.
Juli and August: 8:30 a.m. — 6:30 p.m.
November to March: 8:30 a.m. — 5:00 p.m.
