Experience opera under the stars at one of the most beautiful locations in France. Opéra en Plein Air presents Verdi's "La Traviata" in a production staged by the iconic Arielle Dombasle.

Set in Paris of the 1850's, "La Traviata" is the tragic story of the ailing courtesan, Violetta, who finds sincere love, but abandons it to save her beloved nobleman, Alfredo from scandal. The opera includes some of Verdi's most well‐known and moving arias and duets.

Location
The Château de Vincennes is, together with the Louvre in Paris, one of the most historically significant castles in France. Dating back to the Middle Ages, the fortress is among the largest and best‐preserved structures of its kind in Europe.
