Hear four virtuoso musicians in one quartet.

Barnabas Kelemen, whose name the quartet bears, is a highly‐sought‐after soloist, as are his three colleagues. Together as the Kelemen Quartet, they have been called "electrifying" and give some of the most acclaimed performances of both standard and new repertoire.

This concert features Mendelssohn's Second Quartet, written when he was 18 years old, and in love. It's up to you to decide whether you can hear that in the music.

Paired with the Mendelssohn is Bartók's Fifth Quartet — less violent than some of his others, but still bearing the marks of its creator.
