About the Event

With this program in Versailles, Jordi Savall marks the tercentenary of the Peace of Utrecht (1713), which put an end to twelve years of war between France and half of Europe. Four masterpieces of European sacred music celebrate divine grandeur, royal power, and the establishment of peace.

The brilliant musicians in Savall's ensemble perform works by Bach, Vivaldi, Händel, and Lully.
