Handel's Rinaldo: Vienna Kammeroper

About the Event

Full of musical fireworks and dramatic brio, Rinaldo was Handel's most often performed opera during the composer's lifetime. Find out why at the Vienna Kammeroper…

It was partly because of Rinaldo's spectacular 1711 success at London's Haymarket Theater that Handel chose the British capital as his adopted home. The opera, his first for the London public, contains all of the elements -- war, love, kidnapping, magic, and eventual triumph -- that make for an evening of pulsating yet elegant excitement.
