Forsythe, Limón, Kylián: Bavarian State Ballet

About the Event

Attend an evening of three ballets by world‐famous choregraphers.

The second part of William Forsythe's Artifact trilogy sets pure neo‐classical forms to the sound of Nathan Milstein's benchmark recording of Bach's Chaconne from the Partita in D‐minor.

The Bavarian State Ballet perform José Limón's The Exiles for the first time. Schoenberg's Chamber Symphony No. 2 brings a new, abstract colour to the repertoire.

Jiří Kylián – director of the Nederlans Dans Theater – has meshed his interest in surreal film into his choreography for Zugvögel (Migratory Birds), and Dirk Haubrich has created a new score, based, in part, on Ravel's famous Boléro, and themes by Han Otten.
