Fireworks of The Operetta With Music Theatre Prague & Johann Strauss Ballet Prague

About the Event

On New Year's Eve, the Prague Music Theatre, under the direction of Martin Doubravsky, ignites the 'Fireworks of Operetta' in the concert hall of the UdK.
This year, their musical focus is on operetta. The well‐known orchestra knows how to present a mixture of the best and most atmospheric compositions, polkas as well as waltzes. And since New Year's Eve is a perfect time for dance, the Johann Strauss Ballet Prague will accompany the concert with beautiful and virtuoso dance interludes. Soprano Magda Vitková and tenor Dušan Růžička are invited as soloists. Wonderful waltzes and well‐known melodies by Franz Léhar, from 'The Bat' or 'Orpheus in the Underworld', from 'The Merry Widow' or 'Parisian Life' are part of a mixed programme, with which one likes to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one.
