Gaetano Donizetti's Don Pasquale, considered one of the foremost Italian comic operas, is a romantic story that scored an instant success at its Parisian premiere in 1847. It is also a tribute from Donizetti to the opera buffa tradition. Laurent Pelly's famed dramatic imagination is brought to bear here on a masterpiece of the genre.

The Gran Teatre del Liceu recommends Category 2 for the finest and completely unobstructed view of the performance. The stage is not visible from seats starting in row 2 of Category 8.
