Hear the powerful bass of Giacomo Prestia singing the magnificent music of King Phillip in Elijah Moshinsky's lavish production of "Don Carlos" in the State Theater of the Arts Center Melbourne.

Moshinsky's vision of Verdi's masterful opera is a sumptuous affair, rich in detail. Light gleams off dark marble monuments, and the terror of the Spanish inquisition is captured in a stage beset with shadows.
