Christmas & New Year's: Chamber Concert, Dinner & Cruise

About the Event

Enjoy a Christmas and New Year's concert with the Danube Chamber Orchestra playing works by Strauss, Monti, Brahms, and Erkel. After the concert, you are invited to a cruise with a delicious dinner of traditional Hungarian and European‐style food.

The programme is especially arranged for the festivities of Christmas and New Year and presented at the neo‐baroque theatre of the Danube Palace in Budapest. The Danube Chamber Orchestra is conducted by Zoltán Kökényessy (chief conductor) and plays a diverse programme of classical music, including well‐known and well‐loved works.


Dinner & Cruise:
On the cruise, you will enjoy the romantic atmosphere of Budapest and an excellent warm dinner buffet — prepared by world champion food sculptor Attila Tanács — surrounded by the illumination of the Danube metropolis. With romantic candlelight you can celebrate a wonderful night in Budapest.

Hostesses will accompany you to the ship landing stage after the performance. The journey lasts ca. 90 minutes, and the ships are equipped with air‐conditioning.
