Beethoven, Prokofiev, Debussy: Tonkünstler

About the Event

Yutaka Sado will be the Tonkünstler Orchestra’s new Music Director from 2015. This concert is a first taste of his engagement as the principal conductor of the Tonkünstler: music by Debussy is Yutaka Sado’s way of emphasising his closeness to the French repertoire, Beethoven’s Seventh is a symphonic flight of fancy and at the same time a commitment to the Classical tradition of the Tonkünstler Orchestra.

An instrumental highlight of the 14‐15 season will be the performance of Nobuyuki Tsujii, the pianist born blind who has close artistic ties with Yutaka Sado and was the first Asian artist to win the prestigious Van Cliburn Competition in 2009.
