The Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin presents works by Schnittke, J.S. Bach, and Shostakovitch in the chamber music hall of the Philharmonie Berlin.

Music history is full of connections: Johann Sebastian Bach's violin concertos are based on Antonio Vivaldi's model, Alfred Schnittke's cheerful 'Suite im alten Stil' (Suite in the Old Style) is an exploration of baroque and pre‐classical dance form and his short 'Preludio' was written in commemoration of his Russian compatriot Dmitri Shostakovitch.
