About the Event

Observe the similarities and differences in Wagner & Bruckner, before hearing the music of South America.

Accordionist Carel Kraayenhof performs Piazzolla's Adiós nonino as well as his own compositions. The Amsterdam Chamber Orchestra join him, and perform Bruckner's Adagio (originally part of a string quartet).

The concert begins with Wagner's birthday present to his wife Cosima: the Siegfried‐Idyll, in an arrangement for strings and piano.
