ABOUT THE EVENT

The Deutsche Oper Berlin presents Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde" in Graham Vick's critically acclaimed production.

With this opera Wagner created a myth. Tristan and Isolde is a story of love between two individuals driven by quite different feelings. Isolde feels hatred and love in equal measure, Tristan is torn by his loyalty towards the King and his love for Isolde, King Marke is betrayed by a close friend, and in the lives of the two lovers dream and reality are equally represented.
