About the event
The Pro Musica series offers a top quality musical program in its concerts. The 'Who's Who of Music' group includes interpretations from such greats as Anne-Sophie Mutter, Gidon Kremer, Lorin Maazel, Reinhold Friedrich or Yakov Kreizberg all of whom stand for intellectual and musical excellence. In this concert offering Anne-Sophie Mutter performs in the Philharmonie a program of three Brahms Sonatas. Additionally to be found in the ProMusica Series are concerts by top orchestras. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra London performs the "Enigma"-Variation by Elgar. Although we know the identities of the friends portrayed in each variation, no-one has yet positively identified the other theme that Elgar declared goes with the well loved opening melody. Also performing is the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra with Wagner, Khachaturian and Beethoven and finally the young talents of the Bundesjugendorchester (Federal Youth Orchestra) will present Berg, Brahms and Haydn.
This fine art of making music is to be enjoyed!
