Austria
Where Classical Music is most at home
Austria is the current home and historic birthplace of Classical Music. Many of our most beloved composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Joseph Haydn, Johann Strauss, Franz Schubert, and Anton Bruckner found their origins and inspirations here. Of the greatest classical conductors, present and past, many also find their roots in Austria including Herbert von Karajan, Erich Kleiber, Karl Böhm and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. The exquisitely trained and dedicated Austrian musicians continue to keep the tradition of classical music alive in this beautiful country and its exquisite concert halls.
