The award winning Cologne Philharmonic Hall, constructed in 1986, is found in the Ludwig Museum complex of Cologne and stands as one of the most modern concert halls in the world. Designed in the style of an Amphitheater in order to achieve the most perfect acoustics, the entire hall has no walls that stand parallel, so that no undesired echoes will occur. Even the seats are upholstered in such a way as to provide the same acoustic, whether occupied or not.
