ABOUT THE EVENT

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performs an all-Shostakovich programme with pianist Natasha Paremski and conductor Maxim Shostakovich.

Maxim Shostakovich is the son of the great Russian composer, Dmitri Shostakovich. He brings very particular insights to his father's music: here the cheeky and scintillating Festive Overture, the witty Piano Concerto No.2 with its lovely slow movement, and the Fifth Symphony, which has ambiguous political overtones and remains one of Shostakovich's most personal and richly rewarding pieces.

Gain a new perspective on Shostakovich's compositions at this exciting performance in London's Cadogan Hall.
