Conductor and violinist Pinchas Zukerman and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra perform works by Mozart and Shostakovich in London's Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre.

Written after Stalin's death, Shostakovich's Tenth Symphony veers from brooding contemplation to the scurrying second movement - when, as in Mozart's Overture, notes fly across the orchestra at breakneck speed.
