About the event 'Paris Opera Ballet: Roland Petit'
An inexhaustible creator, in tune with his time, inquisitive and bold, Roland Petit has built a fascinatingly rich and innovative body of work.
Since his choreographic debuts with "Le Rendez-vous" and "Le Jeune homme et la Mort", he has sought out the most inventive artists of his era: Jacques Prévert, Jean Cocteau, Brassaï, Georges Wakhévitch, and even Pablo Picasso. These artistic collaborations have continued throughout his career, as "Le Loup" – which brought together the writer Jean Anouilh, the painter Jean Carzou and one of the greatest composers of today, Henri Dutilleux– would later prove.
Three ballets where love and death rub shoulders translating this major 20th century choreographer unique world of poetry, theatricality and sensuality.
