Orchestre de Paris: Opening Concert with Paavo Järvi
About the event 'Orchestre de Paris: Opening Concert with Paavo Järvi'
To open his first season with the Orchestre de Paris, Paavo Järvi made a symbolic choice, associating two great symphonic and choral legends, one French and the other Scandinavian.
The Orchestre de Paris is one of the largest and most prestigious international orchestras. True to its history, this orchestra of 119 full-time musicians offers a vast repertoire extending from symphonic works to opera and contemporary music. Since September 2006, it has been in permanent residence at the Salle Pleyel, where it rehearses and performs all the concerts in its Paris season.
With this performance of French and Scandinavian works, the new musical director of the Orchestre de Paris establishes two themes that will mark his programming at the Salle Pleyel.
