About the event 'Music Summer: Tonkünstler Orchestra, Steinbacher, Foster'

Enjoy a concert with the Tonkünstler Orchester Niederösterreich, Arabella Steinbacher (violin) and Lawrence Foster (conductor) at the Music Summer in Grafenegg.

Since her big breakthrough in Paris in 2004, violinist Arabella Steinbacher has taken the most important concert stages by storm and won the hearts of audiences. Her interpretation of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, demonstrates her conviction that one should "transfer into music what you feel deep inside". The evening begins with George Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody No. 1.

The second part features the Second Symphony of Brahms, in which, according to a critic, the composer "once again turned to face the earth in blooming spring". Lawrence Foster, one of the most prominent US-American conductors, takes the podium to direct the Tonkünstler. With his performance in the Prélude, Alexander Schimpf, Beethoven Award winner in 2009, sets the mood for the evening.
