Music Festival Grafenegg: Orchestre National de France, Gatti
ABOUT THE EVENT
Both the Orchestre National de France and its Principal Conductor Daniele Gatti are among the most renowned exponents of the European music scene.
The Italian master conductor, who has succeeded Franz Welser-Möst in Zurich, presents himself in Grafenegg as an interpreter of Gustav Mahler’s Fifth Symphony, which became world-famous not least due to its Adagietto. Film director Luchino Visconti created a subtle memorial to this piece when he used it so effectively in his epic film "Death in Venice".
Admission to the additional events (i.e. pre-concert talks, préludes and soirée) is included in the ticket of the main concert:
Pre-concert talk: 6:00 pm, Reitschule
