About 'Cankarjev Dom'
The Cankarjev dom (Cankar Hall) is a cultural and congress center, located in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It stands on the central Square of the Republic, opposite to the Parliament of Slovenia and is named after the writer Ivan Cankar.
At home and abroad Cankarjev dom is well-known as a major presenter and promoter of Slovene as well as foreign cultural and artistic exchanges, and as a strong creative force it also stimulates and unites artistic and cultural events in the city. Although without its own resident artistic ensemble, Cankarjev dom prides itself on excellent collaboration with the National Opera and Ballet House and with the Slovenian Philharmonic society that gives over fifty symphonic concerts annually in Gallus Hall.
How to get to 'Cankarjev Dom'
BUS Nr. 1,3,6,9 or 19: Drama stop
BUS Nr. 2, 10, 11, 13, 17, 20 or 21: Kongresni trg
BUS Nr. 14: Prešeren street.
You can park at a single rate after 19:00 in the garage, which is open half an hour after each CD evening event. Later you have to collect the car by entering the garage through the junction of Šubičeva and Valvazorjeva street. Your car can remain in the garage until 06:00 next day. After that time the single rate of parking no longer applies.
When visiting CD, you can also park your vehicle at Trg republike (Republic Square)
