ABOUT THE EVENT
Giuseppe Verdi's beloved opera, La Traviata, will be performed at the Latvian National Opera this season.
This production of La Traviata takes place in Paris after the 2nd World War. This is the time when people tried to forget the death, blood and losses, to heal the recent wounds and to enjoy life with a great ardor once again. The impossible, beautiful love story of the courtesan Violetta and her impassioned suitor, Alfredo; resplendent balls and intimate meetings; unforgettable melodies and waltz rhythms - these are the elements that comprise Verdi's most popular work, which features the dream roles of every soprano and tenor.
