Jordi Savall directs and performs with Hespèrion XXI and Lux Femina at the Cité de la Musique in Paris.

The programme, "The Bestiary of Christ" is based on the historical work of Louis Charbonneau-Lassay, who studied animal representations of Jesus. Jordi Savall draws from sacred medieval music of Europe to create a musical program that reflects the emblematic use of animals in early Christianity.
